Issue 15 Live today
Issue 15 goes live today! (Announcement)
Please bear with us as we get our information up-to-date.
Also, Glyc 0.1.4.2 and HS 4.6.1.1 won't correctly detect characters with the new build. There is a beta version of HS out if you absolutely-gotta-verify-now. We'll get a new version of Glyc with the new HeroStats DLLs ASAP.
Edit: Glyc 0.1.4.3 released with HeroStats' Unstables Libraries. Read the download page for more info.
YouTube video comments
We giveth back!
We've added a new tag for you to use: the [youtube] tag. Using it, you can now post videos from YouTube in your comments and face-to-face messages to other Faces members! Here's how it works.
Simply enclose the YouTube url in [youtube][/youtube] tags. So, for example, here's Episode 1 of Captain Dynamic, just use the following code:
[youtube]http://youtube.com/watch?v=of4u5PMsD0Q[/youtube]
But wait, there's more! Only want the sound? Simply enclose the YouTube URL inside [youtube=sound][/youtube] tags like so:
[youtube=sound]http://youtube.com/watch?v=xjXVhA86Vr4[/youtube]
Miscellaneous stuff you might want to know: You can only embed up to three [youtube] tags, whether they're full video or just sound, per post or message. If you include more tags, all videos after the third one will be converted to hyperlinks. E-mail sent as a result of the posts will contain links to view the videos you posted. You can't set the videos to autoplay. Who knows? Maybe someday. We reserve the right to nuke any objectionable videos, and we alone get to define what "objectionable" means.
If you have any questions or problems, let me know by posting a message in the Titan Faces forums. Enjoy!
Formatting codes
First, we giveth...
You can now use some formatting codes in your comments. Right now, there are codes for [b]bold text[/b], [i]italicized text[/i], and to [url=http://paragonwiki.com]post a link[/url] This is a subset of the popular BBCode used on many bulletin board systems. We'll continue to add formatting codes as we can to allow you to further customize your profile.
Then we taketh away...
After talking it over, we decided that although embedding HTML in comments to do things like play music is clever, it also poses potential security risks and griefing issues. Therefore, all embedded HTML code in comments, profile fields, usernames, and anything else would think of is now being "sanitized," or converted to actually be displayed instead of rendered.
As time goes on, though, we'll definitely work on givething more and takething less.
